Is dat what you hat said?

It's no lie...I'm in serious need of Spring Break! When I feel stressed, overwhelmed, mad at the hubby, tired of hearing my name 6,000 times a day, upset that the dog decides to only eat MY shoes, well, you get the picture I turn to this person. She makes me laugh, over and over time and time again! Please, take 3 minutes and watch my friend Bon Qui Qui! Click the link! :o)

The teacher in me...

...loves all these colorful ideas!
Is this not the CUTEST work room studio or what? Minnie, an interior designer, has this super cute "work space" in her house and I just wanted to share for you crafty people. She loves turquoise and red, which sound hideous together, but it actually works. Check out the room she enters every day!
Those are just 2 fun pictures. Sister, this reminds me of something you would like in your house!

Besties

There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous. --Carrie Bradshaw

This weekend I went back and relived the best years of my life, college! None of us had been back since graduation so we decided to make this our girls weekend then head to Beth's house.

This is my Old School Posse: Sly Sista Sarah, Nat, Stunner & Ootie going back to UTM!

We hit up LaCabana, a stinky Mexican restaurant we always used to eat at for 2 bucks because they took checks!
Outside Cooper...we thought we were movin' on up living here. We even snuck into our old rooms. The current residents didn't lock the living room door! As Bon Qui Qui would say "Sequor-T" (security).

We posed for numerous self timing pictures at the Zeta lodge. We made a ton of memories here as sisters.

What else can you do in Jackson, TN after watching 2 hours worth of home made videos? EAT OUT AGAIN! We hit up TGIFriday's!
...Five friends, five cameras, more pictures are coming later. We also witnessed a real snowstorm 6 inches that is! Too bad it didn't fall on A Sunday.

Sharing my WEBSITE insight!

....Ok, those of you who know me, know I LOVE to browse random websites late at night. So, I'm passing some fun information on to you, my friend!
They refer to themselves as the "purveyors of curiously awesome products" but really its a bunch of random stuff. Its still fun to browse or buy for your SS. Check out the soapsicles (Popsicle soap) or GIANT gummy bear on a stick!

All of you should be well aware of this universal website. You can find tons of free stuff or type in a more specific search and voila--- it pops up! Sometimes its just fun to browse. You can find everything from grandmas old couch, cheap vacations, singles talk to yard sales. Click on Nashville or your local area for details.

This lady is a fun, northern blogger. The best part is she is always posting information about free stuff. Why earlier today I subscribe to 1 year FREE of Metropolitan Home magazine...all you do is fill out a little survey. Yeah, yeah it takes 5 minutes to answer 15 business questions but you get a 1 year subscription. She also has a link on how to receive Women's Health free but I think too many people clicked it. Worth a try, right? She is constantly passing on free information or giveaways--always a plus!

That's all for now...don't want to give away all my secrets! :o)

The BIG 6-0!

My mother-in-law Judy turned the BIG 6-O! We had a surprise party at our clubhouse and managed to keep it a secret between all the Hicks/Hudgins for almost 2 months! Judy was completely surprised until she saw familiar cars in the parking lot. We had a large turn out and great weather!
SURPRISE!

Our theme...
Mamaw and Maddie opening her memory book. Each family member wrote a letter about a memory with Judy and Amy created a photo album with each letter.

Blowing out all 60 candles! My super sweet friend Mary made the cake!

Steven and our tuckered our nephew, Reese!
Me and our niece, Maddie at the end of the night!

We never got a family picture...too many people!

Christmas--STILL?

I love celebrating Christmas just as much as the person next to me but COME ON! If you have your Christmas decorations up in any way, shape or form SHAME ON YOU! It's February...and you're lazy. You might as well keep it up all year. The reason for this comment? While riding my bike tonight with Zane we flew past a house that still had a tree up in the dining room. Also, while visiting my friend Laura's beautiful new house (under construction) on Saturday someone had JUST thrown a Christmas tree in her dumpster. Too bad she didn't take a picture so you would believe me. I hope I don't know anyone like this!
