FEARLESS Series the 8 week challenge

This post will have ZERO pictures which means it will get looked over because I do that too....too many words, not enough pictures = more boring blog. So, I'll use color and bullet points to help you and myself!

FEARLESS series at church...goes along with the book study Life's Healing Choices- Freedom from your hurts, hang-ups, and habits. It's an 8 week series and we're on week 2.

Happiness is a Choice and you can choose it one choice at a time.
1. admitting need, The Reality Choice
2. Getting help, the Hope Choice
3. letting go, the commitment choice
4. coming clean, the housecleaning choice
5. making changes, the transformation choice
6. repairing relationships, the relationship choice
7. maintaining momentum, the maintenance choice
8. recycling pain, the sharing choice

Today: HOPE CHOICE are you a hummingbird or an eagle? Hummingbird--Are you fluttering around in daily life trying to find things to make you happy? Are you worried, stressed, angry, confused, missing something, feeling no purpose? God intended us to be eagles! Eagles soar above catching uplifting wind streams in peace. I am working on being an eagle because I am the best hummingbird out there and I think/worry all the time. (that's my type A)

It was basically about the ways we ESCAPE our path to comfort and hope (alcohol, drugs, sex addictions, over eating, gambling, shopping, over working, not meeting personal potential, etc. etc.)

1. See who God really is.
2. See who I really am.
3. See how God can change me.
You don't have to change for God. When you see who God really is, you see who you really are and you will see how God can change in you. There were lots of good quotes and I just left feeling enlightened. When I'm done with the book, you can borrow it if you would like!

Sucky weekend= good Monday?!

My weekend was a BUST for multiple reasons....
The big CASE 39 movie with Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper was SO not scary, psychological, or thrilling. I thought it would be better since it was rated R with a fairly popular cast. Nope! I would redbox it later, friends! Although my weekend was sucky, my Monday was fabulous! Say it like Teresa on HWNJ FAB-U-LOUS!
There is nothing better than Bieber fever in First grade. I play Pandora during our writing block. Well, the Biebs came on today and I love to watch my kids get so excited! All the pencils become microphones and while there is no singing there is a lot of lip syncing going on! It is beyond hilarious to observe. Even the shyest of shy love the Biebster!
Lastly, today I got a hilarious surprise email from an old friend. You know those people who pop in and out of your life at random times? The ones you haven't seen in um, like 7+ years. The email was simple, no formal address, just a typical cut to the chase guy email "when will the little Chartier's run around? Aren't you like 3o?" There's more to it, but it just struck me as super funny if you 1. knew this person and 2. if you are 2 years older than me, 2 grades ahead of me in school and you're 30 does that make me 30 also and 3. I met this person because he was posing as my older brother ....but I'm the oldest. Hmmmm...happy Monday!

Top 2 Tuesday (but on Wednesday for moi)

Ok, I've been seeing these top 2 Tuesdays for awhile but I just figured out the blog they came from. So, I am participating! woo woo!
Top 2 Songs Tuesday
1. R. Kelly -Just like that
This is an amazing song about the joys we feel in life. It reads like a poem and I love it! I can hear it every day and still get excited!
2. Pat Boone -Moon River
My mom told me when she was little her parents would dance to this song on the record player in the living room once all the kids went to bed. My mom fell asleep to it many nights. This song makes me feel linked to a family and people I truly never got to know. Makes me feel good! Also, Mr. Big left this record/song for Carrie when he moved out of his place. :o)

Boys are SO much F-U-N!

Woo-hoo last weekend I was off to celebrate Natalie and baby Nolan who is due in a month! I spent last Saturday driving to Centerville to Nat's shower. I passed my namesake so I had to pull over and take a picture....

Nothing like a fondant baby!

The fabulous 4 from college!

Tiny little Natalie 8 months pregnant! She made out like a bandit! I'm so excited to meet Nolan in October!

It's a known fact that I have always wanted 3 boys. I ONLY had boy baby dolls and played boy adoption agency as a child. I shopped in the real newborn section at the store for my boy clothes, had real diapers and real accessories. Of course, that's when I wasn't making my brother solve math problems while I was the teacher on the chalk board. hehe Before you get feisty, I love little girls too. I am happy for all my friends with babies and am so happy to be a part of their lives and watch them grow. But, internally, I just melt over a boy! I don't know if I am girly enough to be a mom of girls. Last night I held little Grayson who is so darn adorable! I wanted to keep him. My heart was so happy! He laid like a little frog on my chest and had the deepest dreams.

tired of all the girl talk going on around him....

He has fuzzy blond hair

He is so cute!

Laura- I am so proud of you! You're such a trooper and never complain, just roll with the punches. You are already a stress free and happy mom and it is so great to see that in you! I'm so glad to call you my friend and watch little Grayson grow in his converse shoes and seersucker outfits!
