Beating LOMA at her Menu Making!

Ok, so this weekend I went to Trader Joe's (fabulous place) and I planned all our meals for the next 2 weeks. This is my tentative menu, although we always eat out on the weekends. Oh, and most everything is gluten free too! woo-hoo
`Salmon stuffed with dill and shrimp
`chicken enchiladas with sauce, chips and salsa verde
`mandarin orange chicken, vegan fried veggie rice
`baked eggplant Parmesan, spaghetti sauce/Penne noodles and garlic bread (for Steven)
`breakfast for dinner! homemade waffles or pancakes, eggs and turkey bacon
`swordfish with baked potato and steamed veggies
`chicken verde burritos and blue chips & salsa
`flounder with crab meat stuffing and vegetables
`turkey burgers, skillet potatoes and onions or garlic fries
`chicken tenders and raspberry balsamic and candied pecan salads

I wrote all this to keep me accountable! This weekend we ate dinner at the Cajun Steamer-you know we love our seafood! Pictures and details coming--later!

13 minute phone call

.....and we're off to Las Vegas, randomly! Yep, I am by no means spontaneous when it comes to trips but tonight while making shrimp stir fry the inevitable house phone rings and I think it's my mom. Turns out, it was my Hilton Honors calling because I am a valued customer *wink wink, aren't we all? Anyways, what he should of said is the economy sucks and Vegas is hurting but what he said is they are running a special and you can go to Vegas for cheap-o. I told him his price wasn't low enough and my hubby (who was sitting on the computer) wasn't home so a decision couldn't be made. He swore he'd make it worth my while so the long and the short of it is the manager got on the phone, I got a super duper deal, 3 days 2 nights to stay on the strip at the Hilton Vacation Resort in a suite and I have 5 months to go. Can we say weekend get-a-way? Woo-hoo. Wanna know the highlight for Steven? He thinks we are going to see Cris Angel Mindfreak show live....um we are going shopping, NY NY, Paris and the Venetian of course! Got any more suggestions? The last time I went it was for a family vacation and I was a teeny bopper so this should be fun!

Back to School

School is back in session and this little boy misses his Momma. He is so clingy in the evenings so we spent the day together. I can't even go the bathroom without him following me, even if Daddy is home. He is a Momma's boy! On the other hand, I get to see these fabulous (tiny) people everyday! Yep, love me some girl time! Can't transfer from FB and make them bigger. These are my skinny friends!

Love Me some Housewives!

Oh, wow ... Who's addicted to Real Housewives of Atlanta like me? The second season is back with a bang, bang POW! First, here are some of my most favorite quotes from the new season:

"Don't make me get on the phone and call POOKIE-N-DEM!"- Sheree, fighting with her gay party planner, Anthony. Who wouldn't love a party planner of their own?

"Who gonna check me, boo?"- Sheree, again talking to Anthony. I would love someone to check my clothes, put together outfits, etc.

"I don't care if I have to work three jobs, I would shovel s*** for Dolce & Gabbana." - the lovely Kim, when being asked what she was going to do without the financial support of Big Pappa.

How can you not love this stuff? I will be the first to admit that Kim is my absolute favorite character ... she is such a trip! I love her wig, I'm sorry but 1. you know I hate my hair and 2. when she is getting her laser/heat cellulite remover she is laying there texting and yelling at the Dr. about how bored she is, that would be me, bored having to sit still! Now, not knowing how much it cost per procedure, that would NOT be me. Again, its just a humorous show, but I love to see their clothes, where they eat and listen to the smack that they talk.
