I got 5 on it...

Because I do not have a camera cord...a questionnaire seems perfect! Write your 5 LOVE/HATE topics...GO!

LOVE
1. LOVE a coke icee like nobodies business-- winter, summer, you name it, I will drink it.
2. girls weekend- you are not whole unless you have girlfriends. period.
3. coupons- I am not ashamed to use them, makes me feel good!
4. children laughing
5. switching seasonal wardrobes makes me feel new again
HATE
1. Hate it when people paint wood white, UGH wood is not supposed to be painted unless it is old knotty pine.
2. people who drive slow due to texting, talking, or eating a banana (I've seen it!!)
3. calling any business number and hearing Spanish first, ugh! (I just transferred mailing addresses and had to sit through Spanish and hit 1 for English)
4. the way Steven loads the dishwasher. We got into a feud and he actually printed the manual to show his way of loading bowls was correct. Doesn't make sense GE!
5. B-to-the-ORING people who never get out. I like to call them the EXCUSE MAKERS. This can be: never leaving a child, getting a babysitter, having a husband who can't watch his kids, cancelling on events, never attending parties or girls night the list goes on. Don't lie, you know someone who just exists too! For the record, I do not hate them because this is their decision. I do however, hate it for them!
List your own LOVE/HATES and let me know!

Weekend Recap!

On Friday we watched Rice and Beans so their mom could go carb up for her big run. The girls had so much fun with my little brother, Justin, and Beans just loved throwing the ball to Solomon. We went to the creek in my parents back yard and ate some pizza! Hmm...I didn't pose with them?

WOW, the marathon was so uplifting and exciting. Who would have thought watching people run could be fun? There were jugglers, ballerinas, men in suits, barefoot runners and even bride/groom couples. It was SUPER fun. I am also so PROUD of Esther for running. The girl has NEVER run a day in her life and started training in February and made it in 2 hours 21 minutes for her first half marathon. It was fun to cheer her on. Sadly, I got no pictures! The storms came in and we also set a record for rain 2.8 inches on Saturday.

On Sunday, we packed every last tidbit, may I say we have A LOT of tidbits and then cleaned the whole house. I think it was cleaner when I left than when I lived in it. I mean, who takes out all the food in their fridge/freezer and scrubs on a monthly basis? Okay, maybe you do, but I don't! The house was empty, we said our good byes and now we are each back at home. Kinda like dating again. That's my weekend in a nutshell. More pictures later.

Flash back Friday a tad early....

Field trippin' January 2009. DANG, I had bangs and LOMA had short hair! Now, LOMA has a baby in her belly and I'm bang-less. Hope all my friends have fun today on the field trip to the Children's Theatre. I don't know what my day will hold... but I know I'll be wearing jeans! (hehe) Sending my VM love your way!

HMMMMMmmmm....

I've had plenty of time to think lately, or go stir crazy due to all the changes currently going on. I thought I would share. There is a saying "the only thing that stays the same is everything changes" and it is so true. Whether it's the seasons, friends or careers most everyone I know is going through some sort of change in their life. I'm such a control freak but am learning to go with the flow with all these changes. When I get overwhelmed or can't sleep due to my thoughts I just remember that when one door closes another one opens. I'm feeling more content knowing that whatever is supposed to happen in my life will happen...it just may not be at the time I want it to happen. Other than an overwhelming schedule, life is good!

My Daddy is Home!

After much anticipation and 39 hours travelling...my dad made it home safely late on Sunday night! We scooped him at the airport and he was so happy to see my mom (us too of course). We came home for cookie cake and to surprise Solomon-their dog. The joke at our house was to keep it a secret. Poor Solomon has always been attached to my dad and went through depression when he left. He was so excited to see him!! We're happy to have dad home and he is working on adjusting to the time zones. Thanks for all your thoughts, concerns and prayers!

I'm odd....

Shui Xian Hui-yu <---- I found out your name! (is that your name) How old are you? What is your job? Where do you live? I like your fortune cookie quotes that you leave on all my posts. I think I will keep you!

Back to reality!

Spring Break was pretty darn awesome! Nope, we didn't fly somewhere exotic and sit on a beach. We did however pack 3 bedrooms/closets, kitchen and living room and move it all to storage. I did spend 2 days shopping with my mom and thoroughly enjoyed a pedicure.
I did love on my little anxiety-ridden baby who is now on medicine because he doesn't want me to leave the house. (our current transitioning is making him nervous) We spent a few afternoons at the park.
I'm a very motivated person when I have things to help pass the time! What I'm looking forward to starting tomorrow. In no particular order, seeing my peeps! Even though I hung out with my friends, I still miss not seeing their faces every day! Wearing white-shoes, pants, and purses. The beautiful playground weather and getting a tan. Last but not least...finding out what SHE is having! Little LOMAtini will officially have a name in less than 2 weeks! (oh, and passing around the Chuck E Cheese hat)

If you read, just follow!

Some of my blogger friends and I have been talking about the people who blog stalk or bookmark a blog and follow it anonymously. After much thought, I am showing all fellow bloggers my support by becoming a follower. Yep, if I take the time to read it, I am taking the time to mark it and let them know. Why you ask?
1. you don't have to have a blog to read blogs, only an email address-thanks Ootie for begin legit follower and 2. If I see people reading it or asking me about it and they are not following...then think of how many other people are reading it!? Lots...stranger danger. On a side note...I have a china man and (yes I am calling him a china man) who keeps reading my blog and writing in Chinese. I keep having to cut/paste his comments to a language translation website. I want to say hello to you, but if you are reading my English, why not write me in English. :o) Thank you.

People Watching

***PLEASE NOTE SOME OF THESE ARE VERY DISTURBING***

...we all do it! We look at what people are wearing, hair styles, etc. whether we are conscious of it or not. The whole point of magazines are to judge the style and if you like it, you buy it, if not you pass. I think the best place to people watch is Six Flags Water Park in Atlanta. Opry Mills Mall however turned out to be graphic t-shirt people watching 2010. The following graphic t-shirts were all seen at the mall today. No lie! I couldn't take a picture so I went to cafepress.com to share these items which are selling for 25$ or more per t-shirt! We also saw a lot of mullet children running around and one guido who stuck out. -kJZZxp2I/AAAAAAAAAmc/1__dP8j_JgQ/s1600/adsfasdfadf.jpg">/a>

I did have a great day shopping Banana Republic/Gap outlets with my momma though!

People, Places and Things OH MY!

I'm loving the TV show KENDRA. She has grown on me as a mother. I can not believe how wonderful Hank Baskett treats her and that precious little Hank Jr. on the show! Love me some late night Kendra. Oh, Hank is also a hottie!

I still love Kim Kardashian. I'm fascinated with her sisterly bonds and I love her freakin' hair. (this is amazingly exactly what I look like when I too walk my boxer-hehehe)

I never thought I would say this, but I LOVE my Buckle jeans-Maddie fit. (this is not the exact picture) Everyone rants and raves about these $100+ jeans and I didn't think it would make THAT much of a difference. OMG they are fabulous! I'm hooked, I'm a believer. They are SO soft, wonderful fit and really comfy. They are a tad long but they do free alterations if you buy them at Buckle.

Places, I don't have a picture for but my sister and I are planning to attend the longest yard sale in the US this summer! Yep, we are totally doing it. We are going to hunt for hidden treasures and hopefully get some great deals. You may be laughing....but the hotels are already booked up along the Interstates. I'll be sure to share my photos upon my return!

SOLD!

So, the secret is out...especially if you are my BFF's or happen to drive by **stalk me** to know that our house sold the 2nd week in March. We were beyond ecstatic because it actually sold in less than one month! You don't know the joy of selling a house that quick and never having to vacuum yourself out of a room before you head to work in the morning AGAIN! It was stressful. God must have some plan because it has nothing to do with me! Land was the plan (our first plan). We looked at homes on acreage and were not impressed with the Brady Bunch-like appeal in the kitchen, bathroom, carpeting, itty bitty bedrooms, etc. I think the only good thing that came out of the 70's was my hubby. I hate 70's decor and time period. In fact, I was TOO tall for some of the showers, go figure! Were people that short back then? It was disappointing because everything needed 100K of renovations on top of the sales price and I wasn't in love with any of them. Honestly, we just didn't have it in us, or our wallets, to pay out of pocket for such extensive renovations to get what we wanted. I thought I wanted an old farm house but was scared to enter some of them because they were just that, OLD! Plan 2, we contemplated building a new house to make it look old but right now our county isn't too hip on new construction loans due to the economy and all the homes that are just vacant and awaiting a homeowner. Hmmm...what to do? Well,we miraculously found a house that is in a neighborhood where Steven can have a basement/shop and the home met all our expectations and needed very little work! Needless to say, I never saw any of this happening to us so quickly but I'm beyond thankful. That's our story. So, the rest of the week consists of more packing, eating, sleeping in, packing, going to antique stores, packing, eating...you get the picture of my Spring Break! Now, here are some things I need you peeps to be on the lookout for: green glass bottles, antique entry tables with drawers or dark wood and a porch swing-any style. I haven't been in my house to get any size measurements but these are just a few of my many wants!

Tuesday Tidbits

Write one odd fact about yourself on Tuesdays...MINE IS:

I’m a chronic nick namer and namer of random objects. If you are one of my friends, you have a nick name. If you belong to me, you have a nick name. The big laptop is Sampson, the little laptop is Kendra. My car is Eli Aurelius Kimosabe Bean. Zane is Zanie Wanie, Z-man, Poe-poe G-joe. Esther-taco or PW <---you'll never guess the meaning, her kids are rice and beans. I even named Laura's baby LOMAtini. I'm so lame that I have a special plant. I got it at girls weekend in July. It took me forever to pick him out. His name is Ike the Spike IKEA. Yep, that's what I call him. In fact, anytime I buy something I asked Steven what are we going to name it? Let's just say...he is not so good at this game. (hi Steven) What can I say, I love names and nick names!

Sincerely,
Special K, Ootie, Tellulah, Hicksy, PW....just to name a few!

Words to think about...

I've never watched American Idol and apparently, Kris Allen, was on there! I really like this song Live Like We're Dying and I copied my favorite words. Just a thought. I also took a cool picture of myself and the sun at the park. This was also taken on the day we got an offer on our house! I like how I am blurred and the sun is surrounding me. Random, just deal! :o)

Yeah… we gotta start
Looking at the hand of the time we’ve been given here
This is all we got and we gotta start thinkin’ it
Every second counts on a clock that’s tickin'
Gotta live like we’re dying

We only got 86 400 seconds in a day
To turn it all around or throw it all away
We gotta tell ‘em that we love ‘em while we got the chance to say,
Gotta live like we’re dying

Flash Back Friday

Spring Break 2007- Mexican Riviera....loved it! I'm officially on Spring Break and officially staying home!
